Campaign Statement

During my first year on the Alumni Council, I actively participated in the nominating and MOU committees. The experience and knowledge gained, as well as the relationships established, while serving on these committees will be very beneficial if I am elected to serve as the CUAA’s Treasurer.


Biography

Dan has spent his professional career protecting the rights of inventors and designers. As a volunteer, he has donated his services to the Oyster Bay-East Norwich School Board, the Oyster Bay Rotary, and is now an active member of an aviation flotilla of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary which flies patrols between northern New Jersey and the Canadian border for the Coast Guard.

As a student, Dan was a member of the Faculty-Student Senate, an officer in SKT fraternity, and an active participant in intramural softball, basketball and bowling.

He graduated Cooper with a ChemE degree in 1981, worked as a patent examiner in the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, and then obtained his law degree from the University of Virginia in 1985.   His legal practice has focused primarily on patents, trademarks, copyrights and related litigation.
