Caribbean Poets and Artists Perform at The Cooper Union on October 26, 2019

This event features the work of two alumni of The Cooper Union, Jean-Ulrick Désert and Cozbi Cabrera, and collaborative works with poets Charles Albert Matz II and Lasana Sekou.

Consistent with the original function of The Cooper Union—which is celebrating its 160th anniversary—to provide education “as free as water and air,” the exhibit re-animates the prototype of Venetian Scole Piccole, the earliest public schools in the Occidental sphere, originally staged on the occasion of the Venice Biennale 2018.
