Running For: President

Campaign Statement

I am very grateful for the opportunity to have attended The Cooper Union and that Peter Cooper’s vision continues to stand today.

I have been active in the Alumni Association as Co-Chair of the Annual Fund, attendee at Mock Interview Night and the new Portfolio Day, organizing the Dance for Cooper Union event, proposing other fundraising events and proposing an Alumni Survey to examine how we could involve more alumni in fundraising efforts. We hope to issue the survey this year.

I am running for President of the Cooper Union Alumni Association with the intent of supporting the ongoing responsibilities of the Alumni Association and existing CUAA volunteers, with a specific focus on increasing engagement across all generations of alumni, and bolstering fundraising efforts.

Laura Sparks and the current Administration have built a fantastic team to lead the effort towards the return to a tuition-free Cooper Union. The CUAA will play a pivotal role in these efforts. I believe that my experience in team building and project management, and my understanding of the organizational structures and infrastructure required to execute large scale projects, will be a benefit to the CUAA as we support the return to a tuition free Cooper Union.
