Running For: Council

Campaign Statement

It is an honor to be nominated for the CUAA Committee. It reminds me of the day when I was notified of being accepted by our school. During my school years, I saw the turmoil and challenges raised against continuing our school’s mission: to provide a free center of learning and civic discourse that inspires inventive, creative, and influential voice in architecture, art and engineering.  This made me realize how valuable, rare, forward-thinking our school’s mission is and how difficult it is to carry on the idea that has been practiced for decades in today’s real world.  This made me determined to preserve our ideas, even if they are small steps.  Two efforts I propose to take: 1. Ensure the quality of students’ education by keeping our curriculum and programs up to date with current industry demands. 2. Develop programs and events to encourage alumni to support our school by donating money and mentoring the students. I firmly believe that I will accomplish the two goals together with the committee
